A traditional visual technology is a VCR. In a classroom you could use a VCR to watch traditional videos or movies that incorporate with a lesson plan, or record a TV show to show in class. A new technology is a Monitor -Mounted Video Camera. This could be used to record your students and their responses to your lesson. You could also record yourself as a teacher to remember what you covered in class and see what you need to improve on for the next class. When a student is giving a presentation you could record them in order to grade more efficiently instead of relying on notes or memory.
A traditional audio technology is a tape recorder. Students at the elementary level could listen to the tape player to substitute for a person reading to them. You can also use a tape recorder to record the children reading to you in an individual setting. When I tutored a class, the teacher told me to record each student reading so that parents could listen to their child's progress. A new audio technology is internet audio. Teachers could record is or her lessons and then put them online to a website or blog for students who may be absent. This will provide students with a way to keep on track especially if they miss a lot of school due to a severe illness.

Chapter Six
I feel that I would rather teach in a classroom with more digital technologies. I prefer this because I feel that the world and the country is advancing with more technologies. I feel that it is essential for me to learn about digital technology as well as my students. Even though it would be difficult to learn everything, I feel that it would be beneficial in the long run. I also feel that if I teach using technology that my students will also want to learn to use technology. "Once you have computer systems in the classroom, the possibilities for expanding their capabilities by the addition of digital peripherals are enormous" (pg 145). I strongly agree with this statement because computers enhance learning and technology in many ways. With a computer learning is broadened and different students can learn in his or her own way.

My Favorite Superbowl Ad
My favorite Superbowl commercials were the Doritos commercials. The one that stood out to me the most was the one where the man licks his friends fingers and also rips off another persons pants. This ad was literally the only one that stood out to me, which probably reflects producers' lack of humor nowadays. My roommate and I wrote down each commercial and rated them on a scale of one to five. This commercial was the only one that received a five. I felt that it was completely random out of the ordinary. If anyone ever did this in the real world, we would be a little worried about the person's sanity. However, in private, everyone licks his or her fingers, and this commercial was very easy to relate to.
